An endangered species is a type of organism under the threat of extinction. Species become endangered for two main reasons: loss of habitat and loss of genetic variation. Currently 41,415 species are endangered species threatened with extinction.

There are many different ways to help endangered species. You can join organization that are dedicated to helping endangered species, some of these organization offer ways to adopt an animal and save it from extinction. Advocate for laws protecting endangered species and encouraging them to be followed.
